What the course will help you do
We're building a course with visual explanations and exercises you control yourself. Here's what we have planned.
Plot your own course
Connect positions, distances and courses with what you see on the chart. Practise chartwork by doing it yourself.
Understand tides and currents
See how changing water affects your trip. From depth and tides to the effect of currents on your course.
See the whole trip
Bring charts, weather and open-water rules together. Learn which decisions to make before departure and along the way.
Your next step after KVB1
KVB1 lays the foundations with navigation rules, signs and boat handling. KVB2 builds on that with navigation, tides and chartwork for open water, such as the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea.
